§ 64.5101   Basis and purpose.

   (a)  Basis.  The  rules  in  this  subpart  are issued pursuant to the
   Communications Act of 1934, as amended.

   (b)  Purpose. The purpose of the rules in this subpart is to implement
   customer  proprietary  network  information  protections  for users of
   telecommunications relay services pursuant to sections 4, 222, and 225 of
   the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C. 4, 222, and 225.
