   (a) DSRCS On-Board Unit (OBU) transmitter types operating in the
   5895-5925 MHz band must be designed to comply with the technical
   standard Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)
   802.11p-2010.

   (b) 802.11p-2010, IEEE Standard for Information technology—Local and
   metropolitan area networks—Specific requirements—Part 11: Wireless LAN
   Medium Access Control (MAC) and Physical Layer (PHY) Specifications
   Amendment 6: Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments, 15 July 2010 is
   incorporated by reference into this section with the approval of the
   Director of the Federal Register under 5 U.S.C. 552(a) and 1 CFR part
   51. All approved material is available for inspection at the address of
